Information Required to Identify a Claim

Claims and inquiries must contain sufficient information to identify the vehicle and the incident concerned. Providing complete information will help avoid delays or confusion between different vehicles or claims.

Vehicle Information

  • Vehicle registration number / license plate.
  • Vehicle make and model, if known.
  • Chassis number, if available.
  • Rental agreement or reservation information, if available.

Accident Information

  • Date and approximate time of the accident.
  • Location of the accident.
  • Brief description of the circumstances.
  • Police report or accident reference information, if available.
  • Names and contact information of the parties involved.
  • Registration numbers of other vehicles involved.

Claim and Insurance Information

  • Name of the insurance company making the inquiry, if applicable.
  • Claim number or reference number, if already assigned.
  • Name and contact information of the claims representative.
  • Repair estimate, invoice, or damage assessment, when applicable.
  • Medical documentation for bodily injury claims, when applicable.
  • Photographs or other supporting evidence.

Documents and Supporting Evidence

Documents relating to a claim should be retained in their original form whenever possible. Copies, photographs, electronic documents, estimates, invoices, receipts, and other supporting materials may be requested during the claims review process.

The existence of an estimate, invoice, receipt, repair order, medical document, or other expense record does not by itself establish that the amount is accepted, payable, or covered by insurance.

All submitted amounts and documents remain subject to verification, assessment, applicable insurance conditions, and the circumstances of the individual claim.

Repairs and Damage Assessment

Repair estimates, damage assessments, replacement costs, towing charges, and other vehicle-related expenses should be documented and submitted through the appropriate claims process.

Authorization of repairs, acceptance of an estimate, or determination of the amount payable should not be assumed solely because documentation has been submitted or received.

Claim Review and Authorization

No employee, rental customer, driver, repair facility, or other third party should be considered authorized to make a final determination of insurance coverage, legal liability, fault allocation, or compensation unless such authority has been specifically established for the matter concerned.

Claims must be evaluated through the appropriate insurance and claims handling process.

Vehicle-Specific Insurance Conditions

Although the vehicles are insured under the fleet policy, certain insurance information is established individually for each vehicle. This includes the agreed vehicle value, vehicle insurance deductible, vehicle identification information, and other vehicle-specific conditions.

For verification of the conditions applicable to a particular vehicle, the vehicle should first be identified by its registration number or chassis number.

Claims, Liability and Compensation

Every accident and claim is evaluated individually. The existence of insurance coverage does not by itself establish fault, legal liability, the percentage of responsibility, or an obligation to pay a particular amount.

Responsibility, coverage, repair costs, medical expenses, compensation and other amounts are determined according to the facts of the incident, available evidence, applicable law, and the terms and conditions of the relevant insurance coverage.

Requests for payment or reimbursement should therefore include the relevant supporting documentation and be submitted through the appropriate claims process for review.

No Admission of Liability

The publication of this page, disclosure of policy information, receipt of documents, communication with a claimant, or assistance provided by TIPUI Co., Ltd. or SUNRISE RENTACAR does not constitute an admission of fault, legal liability, insurance coverage, or an obligation to compensate any person or organization.

Similarly, receipt or acknowledgment of an estimate, invoice, claim, demand, or other document does not constitute acceptance of its contents, amount, liability, or payment obligation.

For Insurance Companies and Authorized Representatives

Insurance companies, claims representatives, legal representatives, and other authorized organizations may use the policy and contact information above to identify the relevant insurer and initiate or continue communication concerning a specific claim.

When contacting the insurer or another representative, please include the vehicle registration number, accident date, claim or police reference number when available, and your own organization and contact information.

Important: This page provides general administrative and insurance information for claims involving SUNRISE RENTACAR vehicles. It does not replace the terms of the insurance policy, the rental agreement, an individual claims assessment, or any determination made by the insurer or other competent authority.
